This group started in May 2019 after conversations between several evaluators revealed a mutual interest in having a space for professionals to network and share resources. Our first meeting was focused on brainstorming and discussing possibilities for what the group could become. At the meeting, we voted to call ourselves LouEval.
 
The COVID-19 pandemic halted our progress for some time, but we have since reconvened. Since our inception, a planning and steering committee has helped to plan quarterly meetings based on member feedback. We have also started to hold social events to provide members with a more informal way to network, and are working towards initiatives to advance equitable evaluation in Louisville.
 
Those who come together in this shared work represent the many local, regional, and national organizations. LouEval is connected to other evaluation affiliates throughout the United States with whom we are able to share resources and ideas. We welcome anyone who practices or is interested in evaluation.
